The CC1E-HT Carbon Super block  filter cartridge with it's electrostatic outer wrap is the result of a new generation 'TRIPLE ACTION FILTER' that offers exclusive and unique benefits over standard carbon block filters.

Water enters the cartridge through the electrostatically charged outer wrap. It then passes through a compressed carbon block filter to both mechanically filter (heavy metals and trace elements reduction) and absorb chemicals such as chlorine and insecticides/pesticides etc. Finally water passes through the pharmaceutical grade post-filter which strengthens the carbon block and prevents any loss of the filter material.

The outer wrap provides a physical filter (similar to a normal sediment removal filter) and an electrostatically charged barrier to ensure that foreign matter is held to the outside of the cartridge. The result is superior filtration and an internal carbon block that remains cleaner for the life of the cartridge.

In nature, most bacteria and colloidally suspended contaminants exhibit a negative charge. Opposites attract, so the exclusive CC1E-HT outer wrap is positively charged to attract these contaminants to itself. The positively charged outer wrap will attract and hold impurities that are too small to be removed by conventional filtration.

The CC1E-HT Superblock 0.4 submicron compressed carbon block cartridge with the positively charged outer wrap has been certified for the effective removal of Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts to the Australian Standards AS/ NZS 4348:1995. This technology is exclusive to Multipure in the USA and is protected by Worldwide patents, and is distributed in Australia by Pure Water Systems.
